Örbyhus Castle

Örbyhus Castle is located in northern Uppland, 40-50 km north of Uppsala in an area that has seen Swedish history in the making on several occasions. The castle was the focus of national history in 1577 when the deposed king, Gustav Vasa’s eldest son, Erik XIV died here. Was he poisoned?
